Integrated Leadership Measure ILM72 Psychometric Test

Introduction

Incorporating some of the latest psychological research, the ILM72 test combines and measures 6 specific elements common in many existing leadership models for the first time. The resulting scores indicate an individual's preferred leadership style and their ability to influence, inspire and direct others towards achieving organisational goals.

How does it work?

Based on a comprehensive study of existing leadership models including Covey's 7 Habits, Situational Leadership and Action Centred Leadership, the ILM72 test measures the following:

Task vs Person – the extent to which an individual meets the needs of the task or the person
Flexible vs Dogmatic – the extent to which a person is open to the views and ideas of others
De-centralised vs Centralised – to what degree the individual empowers other people
Reward vs Punishment – “carrot” or “stick” leadership
The Means vs The End – is the “how” more important than the end result?
Structured vs Organic – a natural leadership style or the result of careful planning?

From these 6 scores, the effectiveness of the individual in 3 further scales can then be measured and explored:

Determination to Deliver
Individual Cohesion
Team Cohesion

The test takes less than 15 minutes and can be completed online. From the detailed reports this generates, our qualified coach will then be able to provide in-depth feedback, focusing on the potential outcomes of the individual's preferred leadership style on both their team and organisation.
