The Health and Safety First Aid Regulations place a responsibility on the employer to provide adequate cover for first aid at work.

This course will enable you to undertake basic fort aid knowledge and be competent in providing the first response and taking charge in an emergency situation.  it will highlight the importance of assessing an incident, legal responsibilities, reporting and calling for help along with using equipment and minimising infection.

  • Roles and Responsibilites of a First Aider
  • Assessment & management at incident
  • Managing an unconscious casualty
  • Managing a casuality who is not breathing normally
  • Managing a casuality who is choking
  • Managing bleeding
  • Managing Shock

Who is it For?

This course is designed for first aiders in a lower risk environment and who has a responsibility for administering first aid at work.

Course Duration

One day.

Certification

Delegates who successfully complete the mutliple choice examination paper and the practical assessment will be awarded the qualification.
