First Aid at Work - Health & Safety Training

Course Description
The Health and Safety First Aid Regulations place a responsibility on the employer to provide adequate cover for first aid at work.

The requirement is for the provision of adequate numbers of First Aiders who are able to deal with a medical emergency. At the end of the course individuals will be certified in the HSE First Aid at Work Certificate. This course will make you a qualified practitioner in being able to administer first aid treatment within the workplace, and will give you the practical skills and confidence to do so in an effective manner.

Course Content

  • Understanding the legislation relevant to first aid at work.
  • When and how to use CPR.
  • Know how to treat bleeds, burns and unconsciousness.
  • What to do when treating medical conditions.
  • Knowing what to do when handing over to the emergency services.
  • When and how to put somebody into the recovery position.
  • Responsibilities for accident reporting.

Who is it For?
This course is essential for anyone who works in a medium to high risk environment and who has a responsibility for administering first aid at work.

Course duration
Three days.
