First Aid Appointed Persons - Health & Safety Training

Course Description
The Health and Safety First Aid Regulations place a responsibility on the employer to provide adequate cover for first aid at work.

The minimum requirement is for the provision of an appointed person with basic first aid knowledge who is able to take charge of a medical emergency. This cover is necessary whenever there are more than 5 employees. This course will enable you to undertake basic first aid knowledge and be competent at taking charge in an emergency situation.

Course Content

  • Understanding the legislation relevant to first aid and appointed persons.
  • When and how to use CPR.
  • Know how to treat bleeds, burns and unconsciousness.
  • When and how to put somebody into the recovery position.
  • Responsibilities for accident reporting.

Who is it For?
This course is essential for anyone who works in a low risk environment, such as an office and who has responsibility for taking charge of an emergency situation and providing basic
first aid treatment.

Course duration
One day.
