Course Description
Would your staff know what to do if a fire broke out in the workplace? Every year people die or are seriously injured by fires at work. Financial costs can also be devastating. Costs to businesses can run into millions of pounds and many businesses never recover.
It makes good sense to help protect yourself, your business and your staff against fire by the appointment of key personnel. This course will give those nominated persons an understanding of their essential roles and has been designed to reinforce workplace policies and procedures.
This course can be tailored to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.
Course Content
All bespoke courses can be tailored to business and individual needs and typically the content of the course will cover the following topics:

- Fire risk assessment.
- Emergency planning.
- The role of the Fire Warden
- Causes of fire.
- Fire prevention.#
- Preventing the spread of fire.
- Procedures on discovering a fire.
- Safe evacuation (company procedures).
- Extinguishers and their operation (theory).

This course is designed for Fire Wardens and other key personnel.
Course duration
Typically three to four hours.
Certification
Delegates will be awarded a NorthgateArinso Employer Services certificate of attendance.
