CIEH Level 2 Award Principles of COSHH - Health & Safety Training
Course Description
This qualification is designed for those who use substances hazardous to health at work. It introduces candidates to substances, the risks and control measures available, and outlines what to expect from a Control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) assessment.
This qualification focuses on the information employees need to know and will prepare them to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in their workplace.
Course Content
- The scope of hazardous substances in the workplace
- The range of legislation covering hazardous substances
- How hazardous substances adversely affect health
- Methods of identification for hazardous substances
- Sources of guidance available for the safe use of hazardous substances
- The range of control measures available for the safe use of hazardous substances
- The purpose and content of COSHH assessments
Who is it For?
This course is designed for all employees.
Course duration
Typically half a day.
Certification
Delegates who successfully complete the 30 multiple choice question examination paper will be awarded the level 2 certificate.

CIEH, QCA Accredited.
