Accredited Health & Safety Training Courses

This qualification combines the level 2 principles of manual handling with a further half day practical session.  It will benefit anyone carrying out manual handling activities and who need to learn about practical techniques.

Course Content

• The process of manual handling in the workplace
• Manual handling injuries and the activities which cause them
• Manual handling assessment and control options
• Responsibilities imposed by the manual Handling Operations Regulations
  
• Techniques for safe lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling
• Applying principles of safer handling to everyday manual handling tasks

Who is it For?

This course is designed for all employees who have to carry out any manual handling activities at work, including both industrial and office workers.

Course Duration

This is a one day course.

Certification

Delegates who successfully complete the 30 multiple choice question examination paper and the practical assessment will be awarded a CIEH level 2 certificate 'Principles & Practice of Manual Handling'.
